Inspections

The Greeley Fire Department Fire Prevention Bureau carries out various types of inspections as part of our commitment to community safety. Below are examples of our most frequent types of inspections that we conduct.

Construction Inspections

  • Construction Inspections are part of our permit process and can be scheduled through eTRAKiT, linked here.
  • If you are unable to schedule an inspection in eTRAKIT, please make sure that you do not have an outstanding fee balance for your permit.
  • Construction inspections include "Rough" and "Final" inspections.
  • Inspections must be scheduled 48 hours in advance.

Fire Inspections

The Greeley Fire Department Fire Protection Bureau conducts inspections to ensure the safety of structures for owners, employees, contractors, customers, and members of the public. Fire Inspectors check for fire code compliance based on the adopted 2021 International Fire Code (IFC) except as amended in the City of Greeley Municipal Code.

Food Truck Inspections

As a member of the Fire Marshals Association of Colorado, the inspections conducted by the Greeley Fire Department Fire Prevention Bureau as part of the Mobile Food Vehicle Program are designed to eliminate the need for a mobile food vehicle to receive an inspection in jurisdictions that have reciprocity with the Greeley Fire Department. Please not that this does not eliminate the need to meet any local licensing requirements or meet locally amended provisions.

Jurisdictions that have food-truck inspection reciprocity with the Greeley Fire Department: 

Loveland Fire Rescue Authority, Windsor-Severance Fire Rescue, Frederick-Firestone Fire Protection District, Wellington Fire Protection District, Fort Lupton Fire Protection District, LaSalle Fire Protection District, Evans Fire Protection District, Front Range Fire Rescue, Estes Valley Fire District, Poudre Fire Authority, Berthoud Fire Protection District, Platte Valley Fire Protection District, and Hudson Fire Protection District.
