Prohibited Items

Union Colony Civic Center staff reserve the right to confiscate any prohibited items or ask guests to dispose of them before entering. Unsure whether an item is prohibited? Please contact the Box Office or Security in advance at 970-356-5000. Cooperation is appreciated and the entire staff of UCCC looks forward to hosting patrons and ensuring a fantastic visit!

For the safety and comfort of all guests, the following items are strictly prohibited inside the venue:

  • Alcoholic beverages not purchased from the venue
  • Animals (Except Service Dogs)
  • Balloons
  • Bicycles, skateboards, or rollerblades
  • Bottles, cans, and beverage containers of any kind
  • Cameras with detachable lenses
  • Chairs, stools, or other seating devices
  • Chains (Metal)
  • Coolers, glass bottles, or cans
  • Costume Masks
  • Drones or remote-controlled devices
  • Electronic Cigarettes
  • Fireworks or any explosive materials
  • Glass Items of Any Kind (Vases, bottles, cups, etc.)
  • Illegal substances or drugs
  • Inflatable objects (Including Footballs)
  • Knives, pocketknives or (Multi) Tools
  • Large bags or backpacks
  • Large Hats or Signs
  • Laser Pointers or Laser Pens
  • Mace (Pepper or Tear Gas)
  • Noisemakers
  • Outside food or beverage
  • Pets or animals (except service animals)
  • Poles, sticks, or rods of any kind
  • Posters and Signs on poles or sticks
  • Recording devices (audio or video) unless permitted by management
  • Sealed packages of any kind (e.g., gifts)
  • Selfie sticks or other large photography equipment
  • Signs, posters, or flags (that obstruct the view of others or disrupt the performance)
  • Tablets or Computers
  • Tripods, monopods, and selfie sticks
  • Video Cameras/Recording Devices (Including GoPros)
  • Weapons of any kind (firearms, knives, etc.)
  • Items that may obstruct the view or pose a hazard (umbrellas, large items, etc.)

If you have any of these items with you, please leave them in your vehicle or dispose of them before entering the venue.

Venue Policies

  1. No Re-entry Policy
    Once you enter the Union Colony Civic Center, re-entry is not permitted. For the safety and security of all guests, we kindly ask that you plan your arrival and exit accordingly. If you need to leave the venue during the performance, please understand that you will not be allowed to re-enter.
  2. No Outside Food & Beverage
    For the safety and comfort of our guests, outside food and beverages are not permitted inside the venue. We offer a variety of food and drink options available for purchase at our concessions stands. Please enjoy these offerings in designated areas.
  3. No Smoking
    Smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes or vaping devices, is prohibited inside the venue and within 25 feet of all building entrances. Designated smoking areas are available outside the theater.
  4. Bag Checks and Security Screening
    All guests may be subject to a bag check and security screening upon entering the venue. Please be prepared to open bags, backpacks, and other carry-ins for inspection. For the safety of all, we reserve the right to deny entry to any items deemed unsafe or inappropriate.
  5. No Recording Devices
    The use of cameras, video recording devices, or audio recording equipment is prohibited during performances unless explicitly authorized by management. Cell phones should be set to silent mode, and photography is only allowed in designated areas or with permission.
  6. Age Restrictions
    Children of all ages are welcome, but please note that some performances may have age restrictions or content warnings. We encourage parents to review performance descriptions to ensure suitability for younger audiences.
  7. Behavior Expectations
    We ask all guests to remain considerate of others during performances. Disruptive behavior, including excessive talking, use of cell phones, or inappropriate comments, will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the venue without refund.
  8. No Blocking Aisles, Exit Doors, Stairwells, or Elevators
    For the safety of all patrons, please do not block aisles, exit doors, stairwells, or elevators. These pathways must remain clear at all times to ensure the safety of everyone in the event of an emergency. Guests found obstructing these areas will be asked to move immediately.
  9. Parking
    Please use designated parking areas only. The Union Colony Civic Center is not responsible for theft, damage, or loss of vehicles or personal items while parked on the premises.
  10. Lost and Found
    If you lose an item during your visit, please visit the Box Office or contact the venue at [phone number/email] to inquire about lost items. Unclaimed items are held for a period of 30 days.
  11. Accessibility
    We are committed to providing an accessible experience for all guests. If you require special accommodations, please contact the box office in advance to arrange seating, parking, or other services.
  12. Alcoholic Beverages
    Alcoholic beverages are available for purchase at designated locations inside the venue. Guests consuming alcohol must be 21+ years of age. Intoxicated individuals may be asked to leave the venue.
  13. Ticketing Policy
    Tickets must be presented for entry to all performances. Please check your tickets for the correct date, time, and seat location. We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or misplaced tickets.
