Stop The Bleed
Recognize and Treat Serious Injuries
Learn how to stop uncontrolled bleeding in a free STOP THE BLEED® class hosted by the Greeley Fire Department. Offered once a month, this 90-minute class will prepare you to recognize and treat life-threatening bleeding after a serious injury occurs.
Established after the tragic 2012 mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary, STOP THE BLEED® is designed to improve the odds of survival by empowering trained bystanders, or “immediate responders”, to take action when they witness traumatic events. The information learned here could help you save the life of a friend, family member, coworker, or someone you don’t even know yet. We hope you’ll join over 4 million other members of the public in learning this important information and helping us in making a more resilient community.
STOP THE BLEED® classes will typically be held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at Greeley Fire Station 1 from 6pm to 7:30pm. We welcome students of all ages; we just ask that if the student is between the ages of 12-18, their parent(s) also attend the class.
