What types of events can be hosted at your facility?
Our versatile facilities are perfect for hosting a wide range of events: trade shows, sporting events, galas, business meetings, trainings, dog shows, weddings, Quinceaneras, baby showers, birthday parties and more.
What are your operating hours and booking hours?

How do I schedule a tour of the facility?
To schedule a tour of the facilities, contact the scheduling office at 970-350-9392 or email us at Info.Islandgrove@greeleygov.com. Tours are available by walk-ins and by appointment Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and on Saturdays and Sundays by appointment only.
How far in advance can someone reserve a facility?
Our event calendar opens for the following year on the first business day of each month. For example, reservations for May 2026 will become available on May 1, 2025. If you’re planning a special event and wish to book more than one year in advance, please contact the scheduling office at 970-350-9392 or email us at Info.Islandgrove@greeleygov.com.
Can we hold a date for someone while they decide?
Unfortunately, we are unable to hold dates while a decision is pending. as we operate on a first-come, first-serve basis.
How do I book an event space?
If you’re interested in booking a facility, reservations can be made over the phone or in person at our office.
Do you require a deposit?
A down payment and damage deposit is required to secure your booking, with amounts varying depending on the facility.
What is your cancellation policy?
Bunkhouse, Buckle Club, Poudre River Pavilion, Platte River Pavilion, Grass Areas, Parking Lot, Saddle Club and Conference Room Rentals:
- If canceled over 90 days before the event: refund all but $200 of monies paid.
- If canceled 61-90 days before the event: refund all but $250 of monies paid.
- If canceled 60 days before the event: NO REFUND
Arena, Event Center, Exhibition Building, 4H Building and Livestock Building:
- If canceled over 120 days before the event: refund all but $550 of monies paid.
- If canceled 91-120 days before the event: refund all but $750 of monies paid.
- If canceled 90 days before the event: NO REFUND
Big Thompson and Mt. Elbert Pavilion:
- NO REFUND In the event of inclement weather, no refund will be given for pavilion rentals.
Are there any discounts for non-profits, government agencies, or bulk bookings?
We offer non-profit discounts, weekly building rates, and full park rental rates. For more details, please contact the scheduling office.

What is your alcohol policy?
If you plan to have alcohol at your event, please contact the park concessionaires at 970-576-2044, who will also coordinate security for you. Outside alcohol is not permitted at any of our facilities, with the exception of the outdoor pavilions. If you’re renting an outdoor pavilion, you may bring beer and wine only—no hard alcohol is allowed. All beverages must be in cans or plastic containers, as glass is strictly prohibited in all park areas.
Are outside vendors allowed, or do we have to use preferred vendors?
You are welcome to use any food vendor of your choice or provide your own food. For public events, food vendors will be charged 15% of their total food and beverage sales. For private events, a surcharge of $1 per person will be added to contracts where food is served. Renters may bring their own food or choose any caterer they prefer. Events with fewer than 100 attendees serving homemade food are exempt from the surcharge. For more details, please contact the scheduling office.
Is smoking allowed on the premises?
Smoking, including the use of vape pens, is prohibited in all facilities, on patios and within 25 feet of any facility entrance.
What is your policy on open flames (candles, sparklers, etc.)?
Demonstrations or operation of any heat-producing devices or sources of ignition, including but not limited to heaters, stoves, barbecues, candles, torches, lanterns, internal combustion engines or any other open flame, must be approved by the Greeley Fire Marshal. No fireworks or other open flames (including cold flame sparklers) will be allowed unless devices have a permit issued by the City of Greeley Fire Department. Permit information is available through the Fire Department. Contact 970-350-9500 for more information or questions.
Is the facility wheelchair accessible?
Yes, all of our facilities are wheelchair accessible.
Do you provide security, or is that the responsibility of the event organizer?
If alcohol is being served at your event, you must coordinate with the park concessionaires for security arrangements. If alcohol is not being served, and you would like security present, you may select any security company of your choice, provided they are licensed with the City of Greeley Police Department. Security company information must be submitted to your scheduling coordinator no later than two weeks prior to your event.
How early can I access the venue for setup or rehearsal?
The earliest you may access the facility is at 7 a.m. If you require earlier access, please contact your scheduling coordinator. Additional fees may apply.
If you would like to access the facility the day prior for rehearsal or setup, we offer up to six hours at half the standard rental fee.
Is event insurance required?
Event insurance is required for all events held at Island Grove, however, requirements may vary depending on the type of event. Please refer to Page 7 of our rules handbook for specific insurance details.
Do you offer storage for items before or after an event?
Storage space at Island Grove is very limited and may not be available. Please consult with your event coordinator to determine if accommodations can be made. Additional fees may apply.
What happens if there is an emergency or weather-related cancellation?
Please refer to our cancellation policy for more information on the terms and conditions regarding cancellations.
