Traffic Collision with Greeley Evans Transit (GET) Bus Results in One Death
GREELEY, Colo – A 59-year-old female passed away on Friday, August 16th due to injuries from a traffic crash involving a Greeley-Evans (GET) bus and a sedan at the intersection of 71st Avenue and 4th Street. At approximately 5:35 p.m., first responders were dispatched to the scene of a two-vehicle crash to render aid. The driver of the sedan, an 18-year-old female, and a 59-year-old passenger were both transported to a local hospital. The passenger passed away shortly after arrival. The driver was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and later released. Due to the nature of injuries sustained in the accident, the Greeley Police Department Traffic Unit is leading the investigation. The GET driver and single passenger aboard the bus were not injured. Due to the on-going investigation, no further details will be released at this time. The identity of the deceased will be released by the Weld County Coroner pending next-of-kin notifications.
