The 19th Judicial Critical Incident Response TeamJune 20, 2025 Weld County Jail in-custody deathThis Press Release is being distributed on behalf of the 19th judicial Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT). [Greeley, Colo.] – On June 20, 2025, at 1:43 p.m. the Weld County Sheriff’s Office detentions deputies found a 52-year-old male inmate suffering from what appeared to be a medical episode. Deputies administered CPR and requested medical staff to respond as well as paramedics. The male inmate was pronounced deceased. The Critical Incident Response Team responded to investigate. This is an active investigation, and no further information will be released until the conclusion of the investigation. The Weld County coroner will release the identity of the deceased pending the next of kin notification. All media inquiries will be handled by the CIRT Public Information Officer.
