Structure fire engulfs Greeley business
GREELEY, Colo. – On Sunday, April 27, at approximately 5:30am, officers from the Greeley Police Department and firefighters from the Greeley Fire Department responded to a three-alarm fire at the 100 block of 9th Avenue, where a large commercial building was on fire. A reverse 911 call was initiated for residents in the vicinity of the fire. The building, used for bottle recycling, was unoccupied at the time, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation. For structural and safety reasons, the Colorado Department of Fire Prevention and Control investigators will be on scene alongside the Greeley Fire Department throughout the week to determine the source of the fire. We are asking anybody with information regarding the fire to contact Rito Gallardo at (970) 405-7184. No further information will be released today.
