Shooting in Greeley Kills One Man and Injures Another
GREELEY, Colo. – On Monday, June 19, multiple officers from the Greeley Police Department were dispatched to a large disturbance with gunshots in the 800 block of 28th Avenue. After arriving to a very chaotic scene, officers located two adult gunshot victims. Medical personnel also responded to the scene and transported both men, ages 23 and 24, to a local hospital. The 24-year-old victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to survive. The 23-year-old male sustained serious injuries and was briefly on life support before passing away. The suspect fled the area in a vehicle prior to our arrival on scene. The Greeley Police Department Investigation Unit also responded and took lead on the investigation. Detectives believe that this is an isolated incident and that the victims and suspect knew each other. The investigation is still on-going and no additional information will be released today. Anyone with information about this case is asked to please Detective KellerTwigg at 970-573-2919.
