Man Dies a Week After Being Struck by Vehicle in King Soopers Parking Lot

GREELEY, Colo. –  On Thursday, January 16, at approximately 7:00 p.m., Greeley Police officers responded to an auto-pedestrian accident in the parking lot of King Soopers on 71st Avenue and 10th Street. The victim, a 54-year-old Greeley man was crossing from the store to the parking lot when he was struck by a truck driven by a 17-year-old Johnstown resident. The victim was transported to Northern Colorado Medical Center with severe head injuries. He passed away in the hospital January 25. This is an ongoing investigation and charges have not yet been filed toward the driver.  No further information will be released today.
