Greeley Police Department to Host RTIC Community Meeting
GREELEY, Colo. – The Greeley Police Department will host a Community Town Meeting on March 13, 2025, regarding the launch of the Real Time Information Center. The meeting, which will be held at City Council Chambers, 1001 11th Avenue, Greeley, will begin at 6:00p.m. and is open to the public.
In 2024, the Greeley Police Department launched a new initiative that uses real-time data to direct resources quickly and effectively, which we expect to translate into faster response times, higher clearance rates, reduced crime and greater transparency for the entire Greeley community.
The Real-Time Information Center is a state-of-the-art public safety center that supports efforts to provide effective and efficient police service to the Greeley, Colorado, community.
The center will house multiple forms of advanced technology the city already uses — like drones, city and police camera feeds, and license plate readers — to sync up video feeds of public spaces in Greeley. Employees use these monitoring tools in conjunction with various law enforcement tools like computer aided dispatch (CAD) to provide situational awareness and critical information to first responders.
By combining these already-existing technologies into a single operation, responders can plan and deploy appropriate resources, respond more effectively to emergency situations, and, when necessary, quickly identify and locate criminal suspects.
