Greeley Police Department Announces New Safety Steps in Response to COVID-19 In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Greeley Police Department officials announce several steps to protect the public and the safety of the officers until further notice. Police officials encourage the public to utilize phone reporting (970) 350-9605 and our online reporting system — gpd.greeleygov.com/Report — to report incidents that do not involve a risk to life or public safety. The Greeley Police Department, 2875 W 10th St., front lobby hours are now expanded to 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., seven days a week for the public to report nonemergency events. When residents call the Weld County Regional Communications Center, the call taker will ask if anyone is displaying flu-like symptoms. If that is the case, officers will be taking extra precautions before responding to the address. All requests for police reports will be handled by phone (970) 350-9627 or through the online report request form — greeleypd.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/2020-GPD-1840A-Report-Release-Application.pdf. The only exceptions will be sex offender registration or emergency situations. If a Greeley resident has an emergency situation and needs a police report, they should call 970- 350-9627 and ask to speak to a records supervisor. The evidence customer service window will remain open. Officials ask the public to make an appointment if they have items that need to be released. Some non-priority item appointments may be pushed back several weeks, but staff will work with parties requesting property releases on a case-by-case basis. Evidence can be reached at 970-350-9646. We have enhanced our deep cleaning procedures to our lobby and patrol vehicles, in the interest of our community and employees’ health and safety. For emergencies, continue calling 911. For non-emergencies, call 970-350-9605.
