A Vital Resource for Historic Research

The Hazel E. Johnson Research Center features an outstanding collection of more than 100,000 historical documents and photographs. The center also has oral history interviews and transcriptions, videos, letters, diaries and other resources about pioneer families, businesses and communities in northeastern Colorado. There are maps from the late 1800s to present day, past editions of regional newspapers (on microfilm and in bound volumes), and other special collections that preserve and document the region’s rich history.
