City Manager’s Office
The City Manager’s Office (CMO) provides overall guidance to all City operating departments and is responsible for the administration of City programs.
City Manager- Brian McBroom
Brian McBroom was appointed City Manager by the Greeley City Council on May 19, 2026, after serving as the sole finalist for the role and leading the organization as Acting City Manager since November 2025.
Brian first joined the City of Greeley in June 2023 as Director of Community Development and later added the role of Interim Director of Economic Development and Urban Revitalization in September 2025. During his time as Acting City Manager, he focused on providing steady leadership for the organization, ensuring the continued delivery of high-quality services to residents while keeping critical city projects moving forward.
Brian has spent his career in civic government, dedicated to helping cities and towns manage growth in ways that create a high quality of life for residents and financial stability for the community. Previously, Brian served as City Manager for Commerce City for 8.5 years and as Town Administrator for Lochbuie. He started his career in his home state of Michigan, where he served in various community development roles before moving to Colorado in 2008.
Brian received a bachelor’s degree in sociology, urban studies focus, from the University of Michigan.
