GREELEY, Colo. — The City of Greeley will close the current City Hall building at 1000 10th Street on February 25. The City will transition in-person services to a new temporary City Hall location nearby at 1200 11th Avenue.

The move is part of the broader Downtown Civic Campus Project, a project that is creating unprecedented opportunities for downtown revitalization anchored by three of Greeley’s largest employers.

“City Hall is a place people have visited and relied on for many years,” Kelli Johnson, Deputy City Manager, said. “As we move forward with the Downtown Civic Campus project, our priority is making sure residents don’t miss a single day of in-person service. While the location is changing, our commitment to accessible, reliable service for the community remains the same.”

The current City Hall will remain open for normal business and to support the special election through February 24. For more election information, visit greeleyco.gov/special-election-ordinance-30-2025.

After February 24, a brief service transition will take place:

  • February 25 to 27: In-person assistance will be available only at the drive-through window at the current City Hall lot.
  • February 28 to March 1: City facilities are closed on weekends.
  • Beginning March 2: Residents can visit the new City Hall at 1200 11th Avenue for all in-person services.

The same services will be available at the new location:

  • General city services
  • Utility billing assistance
  • Lift-Up program
  • Water utility payments
  • Pet licensing
  • Bus passes
  • Questions and support

“Providing our residents with a positive customer experience is our primary goal,” said Erik Dial, Deputy Director of Utility Finance and Customer Service. “Whether they’re paying their water utility bill in person, applying for the LIFT UP Program or need help signing up on the utility billing portal, we want to make sure they can connect with us.”

In addition to visiting the City in person, residents will continue to have access to City services by calling 970-351-5311 and visiting the City’s website at GreeleyCO.gov.

Other city facilities are not affected by this move. For example, all City Council meetings will remain at City Center South at 1001 11th Avenue.

The City recognizes the importance of the current City Hall building to the community and is planning public farewell events in late February. Additional details will be shared soon.
