Traffic Crash Involving Greeley Police Chief and Juvenile Bicyclist

 GREELEY, Colo. -– Chief of Police Adam Turk was involved in a traffic crash with a juvenile riding a bicycle on Sunday, February 15, shortly after 2:30pm, in a residential neighborhood in Greeley.

Preliminary information indicates Chief Turk was driving an unmarked police vehicle when a 15-year-old entered the roadway on a bicycle and was struck. Chief Turk immediately provided first aid and requested that paramedics respond to the scene. The juvenile was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Greeley Police Department’s Traffic Unit responded to the scene to begin the initial investigation. The Colorado State Patrol (CSP) Vehicular Crimes Unit (VCU) has taken the lead investigative role and will provide additional details regarding this incident as they become available.
