16-Year-Old Fatally Shot by 18-Year-Old
GREELEY, Colo. – On November 28, at approximately 4:00pm, officers from the Greeley Police Department responded to the 800 block of East 20th Street Road on reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located a 16-year-old male with a single gunshot wound. Officers administered life-saving measures and emergency medical services transported the victim to North Colorado Medical Center in critical condition. He was placed on life support but succumbed to his injuries November 30.
The reporting party and alleged shooter, Anthony Dominguez, 18, fled the scene but was later apprehended and booked on charges of Unlawfully Aiming a Firearm at Another and First-Degree Assault with Serious Bodily Injury. Updated charges are pending.
This investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Detective Michael Shea at (970) 381-1265. This was an isolated incident and there is no danger to the community.
