Greeley Police Arrest Four During SWAT Warrant
GREELEY, Colo. – At approximately 10:00am on September 11, officers from the Greeley Police Department the GPD SWAT team, the GPD Special Enforcement Team and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, responded to a residence in the 1300 block of 11th Avenue to serve a search warrant pertaining to allegations of rampant criminal activity.
Upon arrival, officers made several attempts to secure voluntary compliance from the occupants, however the individuals inside the residence, as well as an adjacent detached garage, refused to exit, posing a safety risk to both officers and nearby residents and bystanders.
To gain safe access, the SWAT team deployed a noise diversionary device to disorient the suspects, followed by chemical munitions to draw the suspects out from the detached garage.
The use of the chemical munitions proved effective as suspects from an upper level of the house surrendered, as did several who had been hiding inside the attic of the garage. The arrested subjects were provided medical attention on scene and transferred to the North Jail Complex and booked on unrelated warrants.
Arrested were:
- Geoffrey Rocha, 37
- Anthony Ornelas, 40
- Felicia Ybarra, 39
- Vincent Romero, 36
All charges are merely an accusation, and all suspects are innocent until proven guilty. We are asking anybody with information on this case to contact Detective Max Moree at max.moree@greeleypd.com or 970-350-9549. No further information will be released today.
