Overseeing Greeley’s Water and Wastewater Needs

In 1958, Greeley citizens adopted the City Charter, which created a water board to address and oversee Greeley's water and wastewater needs.

The board’s management of water and wastewater concerns allow City Council to focus on economic development, knowing there will be a healthy water system to support its efforts. Greeley has one of the more robust water systems in the state due to this partnership.

The board has a vital role in Greeley's leadership. It contains seven voting members appointed by the Greeley City Council and the Mayor, City Manager, and Director of Finance serving as ex-officio members. The Director of the Water and Sewer department regularly interacts with the board to provide reports and recommendations for water and rate-related decisions.
