Description
A special election is an election that is scheduled at an irregular time to address specific issues. In this case, a referendum petition with enough verified signatures was submitted to the City Clerk to repeal Ordinance 30, 2025. This election will take place on February 24, 2026, giving registered city voters the opportunity to weigh in on Ballot Issue 1A, which asks whether Ordinance 30, 2025, should be repealed.
Ballots will be mailed to all registered Greeley voters beginning February 3, 2026. Ballots must be received by 7 p.m. on February 24, 2026 to be counted. Voters will be able to mail their ballot (with postage affixed) or drop it off at one of four 24-hour ballot drop boxes around Greeley.
