How Supervised Probation Works
Deferred sentence and probation cases may be sentenced to court-ordered supervised probation.
The Probation division monitors offender compliance with court-ordered counseling, treatment, community service, drug testing, court costs and any other conditions ordered by the court. Greeley Municipal Probation is under the City of Greeley Municipal Court.
Greeley Municipal Court Probation handles only Greeley Municipal Court cases. Contact information for either County Court or District Court cases is: 19th Judicial District Probation Department (Weld County) at 970-475-2800.
Enforcement
The Probation division tracks further criminal activity of offenders and initiates show cause or probation violation proceedings as necessary. Bench warrants for probation violations can be issued by the judge at the request of a probation officer. All terms of probation will be reviewed with the Defendant, and it is the Defendant's responsibility to maintain contact with the probation office with current address and phone number information.
Failure to appear at probation appointments or complete any of the court ordered programs as directed by the probation office can lead to additional hearings or the issuance of a Greeley Municipal Court warrant.
Appointments
The Probation division appointments are only scheduled by the probation officer. Defendants with scheduled appointments must communicate directly with the probation office in regard to scheduling conflicts due to emergencies. If you have additional questions, please contact the Senior Probation Officer at 970-350-9246 or at MCProbation@greeleygov.com.
