Description
Join us at the Greeley History Museum to delve into the story behind the country's first operational long-range nuclear weapons and the people who maintained them.
Airman First Class (Sep.) Jim Widlar served as an Atlas-D Missile Mechanic from 1961 to 1964 with the 389th Missile Maintenance Squadron at Francis E Warren AFB in Wyoming. His vast experience and knowledge of ICBMs helped create the museum’s current exhibit, 13-Minute Warning: Weld County in the Atomic Age.
Admission is free, but advanced registration at the link below includes free admission to the museum galleries to explore the exhibit that inspired the event.
