Financial Assistance

Youth, senior, and Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation (AIR) assistance funding is available for families and individuals with financial hardship as an opportunity to participate in the City of Greeley’s Recreation programs.

AIR Assistance is for participants who do not qualify for Youth or Senior Assistance and have a disability as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation

What is Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation (AIR)?

Greeley Recreation’s AIR program provides activities and services to individuals in the community with varying levels of physical or intellectual ability. We are dedicated to empowering all individuals to participate in recreational programming and activities.

Inclusion

The AIR team can provide support to help people participate in any Greeley Recreation program.  AIR can help determine how best to support individuals in recreation programs. AIR offers a variety of services: staff training, adaptive equipment, additional staff, and other accommodations. Request for Inclusion support must be submitted at least 2 weeks before the start of the program. We will do our best to provide reasonable accommodation.

Adaptive and Inclusive Programs

AIR programs are planned and designed with people with disabilities in mind. You’ll often see smaller group sizes, challenges that fit people’s abilities, and more flexibility than in other programs.
