Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Highway 34 Crash
GREELEY, Colo. – On Tuesday, September 28, at approximately 3:25 p.m., Greeley Police officers responded to a serious crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle at the eastbound 23rd Avenue overpass of Highway 34.
Preliminary investigation determined a 28-year-old man was driving eastbound on Highway 34 on a Harley sportbike, weaving through traffic at a high rate of speed, when he collided with the rear corner of a Honda Civic, driven by a 28-year-old woman.
As a result of the collision, the man sustained severe injuries and was transported to a local hospital where he underwent emergency, life-saving surgery. He is currently in critical condition. Neither the woman in the Civic or her young child passenger were injured.
The crash remains under active investigation by the Greeley Police Department Traffic Unit, and potential charges are pending the final investigation outcome.
