Downtown Greeley Sewer Work Nearly Halfway Done
More street closures ahead
GREELEY, Colo. — Crews have installed nearly half of the new sewer pipe planned for downtown Greeley. More street closures are expected the week of October 19 as work continues.
So far, crews have installed 1,700 feet of sewer pipe. That's the length of about five football fields. Crews have also installed nearly 1,900 feet of new water pipe, bringing water line work to 22% complete.
As work continues, downtown traffic routes will change.
Here’s what to expect the week of October 19
8th Avenue and 11th Street: A partial closure is expected. Drivers heading north on 8th Avenue can turn right onto 11th Street but cannot go straight through the intersection.
9th Avenue between 11th and 12th streets: This block is closed, including the intersection of 9th Avenue and 12th Street.
Westbound 10th Street between 8th and 11th avenues: This block is closed, including the intersections of 8th Avenue and 10th Street and 10th Avenue and 10th Street.
9th Avenue and 10th Street: This intersection has temporarily reopened to provide access to downtown businesses. It will close again as construction continues.
