City of Greeley to Conduct Seasonal Cleanup at Linn Grove Cemetery
GREELEY, Colo. — The City of Greeley will conduct its seasonal cleanup at Linn Grove Cemetery from October 19–30, 2026. This cleanup keeps the cemetery safe, tidy, and nice for everyone who comes to remember loved ones.
During these dates, city workers will take away old or broken decorations and anything that makes it hard to care for the cemetery. The cemetery is cleaned three times a year: in March, June, and October.
Families and visitors should check the cemetery's decoration rules before the cleanup starts. If you follow these rules, your personal items are less likely to be removed.
Here are some important rules to remember:
- Flowers: You can put fresh or fake flowers in the right kind of vase. Some plants are allowed in certain areas, but you need to follow cemetery rules.
- What is not allowed: You can't put solar lights, small statues, toys, glass containers, rocks, bricks, shepherd’s hooks, fences, or similar items on graves and columbarium areas. These may be taken away.
- Seasonal decorations: Fake flower sprays and wreaths are usually allowed near Memorial Day and from Thanksgiving through March 1, as long as you follow the rules.
- Special areas: There are extra rules for some parts of the cemetery, like Babyland, Soldier’s Field, and the columbarium.
These cemetery rules help workers keep the grounds safe and looking nice for everyone. The City thanks you for your help and understanding during the cleanup.
