City of Greeley Announces July 4th Closures Modified Hours and Traffic Restrictions
GREELEY, Colo. — The City of Greeley administrative offices will close on Friday, July 3, 2026, for Independence Day. Greeley Transit will close on Saturday, July 4. Several city facilities will have modified hours or closures. Traffic restrictions will affect the parade route during the morning. Plan for alternate routes or transportation.
Greeley Transit Closure
All Greeley Transit fixed-route bus services will be suspended on July 4th. Service will resume on a regular schedule on Saturday, July 5th. Residents who depend on transit for essential trips are encouraged to make alternate arrangements in advance.
Traffic Restrictions — Independence Day Parade
East and west bound traffic will be restricted along the parade corridor from 6 a.m. to Noon on July 4. The restrictions include 9th to 11th Avenues, from 3rd Street to the north and 23rd Street to the south.
The parade route runs from 10th Avenue and 22nd Street near the University of Northern Colorado. It goes north to 10th Avenue and 5th Street.
Motorists should avoid affected corridors and allow extra travel time. Access within the restricted area may be limited. Please follow the traffic control personnel and posted signs.
City Facilities and Attractions
- Greeley History Museum (714 8th Street) is open Friday, July 3, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., closed July 4.
- Centennial Village Museum (1475 A Street) is open on July 4 for Greeley Stampede attendees only. Visit https://greeleyco.gov/museums
- Union Colony Civic Center (701 10th Avenue) and the ticket office are closed July 3 and 4.

- Rodarte Community Center (920 A Street) closed June 29 through July 6.
- Greeley Ice Haus (900 8th Avenue) and Greeley Active Adult Center (1010 6th Street) are closed July 4.
- Greeley Recreation Center (651 10th Avenue) and Family FunPlex (1501 65th Avenue) close early at 6 p.m. on July 3 and are closed July 4.
