Phillips 66 staff present an oversized check for $20,000 to Greeley Recreation employees at Discovery Bay Waterpark

GREELEY, Colo. — The City of Greeley Recreation Division received $20,000 from Phillips 66 Midstream – Weld County on Wednesday, May 27. An oversized check was given to staff at Discovery Bay Waterpark. This generous donation provides local access to swim lessons and teaches water safety to individuals.

“We are proud to support the City of Greeley’s Swim Lesson Program through this grant,” said Craig Pralle, Senior Operations Manager. “This investment goes beyond swimming. It promotes safety, builds confidence, and expands access to opportunity. This funding helps more children and families take swim lessons, including Spanish-speaking families, English language learners, and individuals with special needs. It also helps more residents learn important water safety and life-saving skills.”

Funding from Phillips 66 has enabled the expansion of swim lesson offerings. “This financial commitment provides access to water safety education in our community,” says Jaimee Borgeer, Recreation Coordinator – Aquatics. “We’re honored to receive scholarship funding from Phillips 66 for the 2026-2027 swim lesson season.”
