GREELEY, Colo. — The Greeley City Council has appointed Craig Huddleston to serve as the new Ward 1 Councilmember following a public interview process conducted during the May 5 City Council meeting. Huddleston will serve until November 2027, the conclusion of the Ward 1 term.

The City received 15 applications for the vacancy, with 13 candidates meeting eligibility requirements. Six finalists participated in a public interview process in which they were asked the same set of questions.

Following the interviews, City Council selected Craig Huddleston through a public voting process.

"I am humbled and honored to represent Ward 1,” said Huddleston. “There is one thing that I am convinced of: the spirit of Ward 1, hard work, grit and determination, will be the engine that will propel Greeley into the glorious future ahead of it.”

The appointment will be formalized at the May 19 City Council meeting, where Huddleston will be sworn in to begin serving Ward 1 residents.
