Greeley Residents Encouraged to Take Part in Local Government
GREELEY, Colo. — The City of Greeley is inviting residents to take an active role in local government by applying for boards and commissions. These volunteer groups provide a way for community members to participate in local government and offer perspective on issues that matter to Greeley residents.
“Residents who serve on boards and commissions bring valuable insight to discussions that affect the community,” said City Clerk Heidi Leatherwood. “That includes topics such as youth involvement, accessibility and human relations. Their service helps support thoughtful and informed City decision-making.”
Residents interested in serving are encouraged to apply for current openings. The following boards and commissions have vacancies:
- Commission on Disabilities: two seats
- Judicial Review Board: two seats
- One seat requires experience as a licensed attorney.
- One seat requires experience in business.
- Human Relations Commission: two seats
- Youth Commission: nine seats
- Seven seats on this commission are for Greeley residents under the age of 18.
- Two seats are for adult advisors.
