Mayor Hall Presents Check to the 2026 Ed Clark National Youth Service Day Award Winner

GREELEY, Colo. – The Greeley City Council is proud to recognize the 2026 Ed Clark National Youth Service Day Award recipient, Moises Guzman Gamino. On April 21, Mayor Hall presented Moises with a $1,000 scholarship check.

The Greeley Youth Commission is a student-run board that encourages youth to seek leadership roles in the community. Each year, the commission accepts nominations for individuals and groups who have performed outstanding community service. The Ed Clark National Youth Services Day Award recognizes the power of youth service and the importance of helping others. The Greeley Youth Commission annually honors local students.

Moises Guzman Gamino, a Jefferson High School student, was nominated for his dedicated community service. He works four hours a week at his church, providing emergency services to families in need. Also, packing holiday dinners, helping load cars and securing donations to support the affected families.

Over the last three years, Moises has logged over 300 hours of community service. He worked as an intern for Banner Health, volunteered at Weld Food Bank and held a leadership role at his school.

Looking to the future, he’s considering building on his volunteer efforts and entering the social work field. Driven by his own experiences, he is passionate about making the world a better place. His goal is to connect people to the resources available to them.
