Greeley Invites Residents to Help Shape City Decisions Through Boards and Commissions
GREELEY, Colo. — Residents who want to make a difference in Greeley now have an opportunity to step into public service. The City of Greeley is inviting community members to apply for vacant positions on boards and commissions. These volunteer groups help bring resident voices into local decision-making.
“Residents who serve on boards and commissions help ensure local government is informed by the community, not separate from it,” said City Clerk Heidi Leatherwood. “Their involvement brings valuable perspective to policies, programs and long-term planning.”
Boards and commissions advise city leadership on topics that affect daily life in Greeley. Examples include accessibility, human relations, stormwater and construction standards. These groups help ensure city policies, services and plans are shaped by the community.
Recent Appointments
In March, the City welcomed three new appointees to its boards and commissions. Their service will help support transparent, responsive and community-informed government. Congratulations to the following new members:
- Chris Garcia, Civil Service Commission
- Jennifer Remmers, Commission on Disabilities

The City appreciates all residents who step forward to serve on boards and commissions. Their time and expertise help connect city government to the people it serves.
