Utility Billing Portal Puts Account Management at Residents’ Fingertips
GREELEY, Colo. — Greeley residents can now manage their water accounts more easily using the City of Greeley’s utility billing portal. This tool improves the user experience service and helps residents make informed choices about their water use.
SpryPoint, a leading provider of cloud-based utility solutions, designed the system. The platform gives 30,000 water utility customers the tools to track and manage their water use. City staff can also see real-time data to better help customers and support field operations.
Since its launch in November 2025, more than 14,200 customers have created new accounts, and over half have set up automatic payments.
Enhancing the Utility Experience
Greeley Water customers can track water use, pay their bill, and contact staff from any device. Setting up autopay can help prevent late payments and save time.
"A resident's opinion of their city is often shaped by their water utility," said Erik Dial, deputy director of utility finance and customer service. "We wanted to provide excellent service and a positive user experience. The Utility Portal gives our customers and our team the tools and insight to do just that."
Moving to a Modern System
In November 2025, the City updated its utility billing system. The new portal replaced a process that required a lot of manual work with a modern system that helps staff spot issues sooner, fix them faster and continually improve service.
“Before this system, we didn’t always know when a problem happened,” said Yesenia Padilla, utility billing manager. “Now, with real-time data and alerts, we can respond right away. It’s made our team more productive and better equipped to support our customers.”
