2025 winners pose for a group photo with their awards at the Historic Preservation Month event

GREELEY, Colo. — In celebration of Historic Preservation Month, the City of Greeley is recognizing the people and projects helping to preserve history. Nominations are now open for this year’s Historic Preservation Awards. Through April 8, the Historic Preservation Commission invites the community to submit nominations.

“Historic preservation keeps Greeley’s story visible. It strengthens neighborhood pride, protects places that shape our culture and connects generations," said Betsy Kellums, historic preservation office planner. “If you know someone doing that work, nominate them for an award and help celebrate the people preserving our community's legacy.”

The awards honor individuals and groups protecting Greeley’s historic places. Award nominations are due by noon on Wednesday, April 8.

How to Submit a Nomination

Community members can submit nominations in two ways: online or in person. The online form is available through Microsoft Forms. The paper copy is also available for download here.

  • Complete the online nomination form or download the paper copy.
  • Once complete, submit the paper copy to hpo@greeleygov.com. To drop off in-person, go to the Historic Preservation Office at 1100 10th Street, Greeley, CO 80631.
  • Microsoft Form responses are automatically sent to the City.

Awards Presentation

Following the application deadline, the Historic Preservation Commission will vote on the nominations. The commission will then present awards at a special Historic Preservation Month event.
