A City Council meeting with the council seated at the front of the room and a crowd of community members seated throughout the room

GREELEY, Colo. — Six volunteer leaders are stepping into new advisory roles to help Greeley’s government stay responsive, transparent and accountable. The City of Greeley is proud to welcome six new appointees to its boards and commissions.

“Greeley’s boards and commissions help ensure community voices are part of city decision-making," said City Clerk Heidi Leatherwood. "By bringing real-world perspective and asking thoughtful questions, they keep our work transparent and accountable. Their recommendations not only strengthen public trust but also help us deliver policies and services that reflect the needs of the people we serve."

These volunteer groups bring together diverse perspectives to offer clear, community-informed guidance. Their guidance shapes local policy and supports city services and operations.

Serving on a board or commission is one of the most direct ways to get involved. By participating in local government, community members help shape Greeley’s future. The City appreciates community members who have stepped forward to share their time and experience in these roles.

Congratulations to the following new members:

  • Wendi Young – Citizen Transportation Advisory Board
  • Kimberly Spencer – Golf Course Advisory Board
  • Robert Lind – Golf Course Advisory Board
