Road Closures Planned for O Street and 59th Avenue Intersection

GREELEY, Colo. — The City of Greeley will begin work on January 19, 2026, to enhance the intersection at O Street and 59th Avenue. The project involves building a new roundabout and installing new water lines.

Residents should be aware of the following projected timeline:

  • January 19-20: Minor pothole repairs on 59th Avenue between F Street and O Street. Flaggers may direct traffic.
  • Week of January 26: Electronic message boards will alert drivers about upcoming closures.
  • February 9: 59th Avenue (between F Street and O Street) will close to through traffic.
  • March 9: The entire intersection will close for construction.
  • June 2026: Anticipated completion.

The new roundabout will improve traffic flow for this major intersection. The new water lines will support the North Weld Water Supply System.

Drivers should plan alternate routes and watch for message boards with updated information. Detour routes will be posted once closures begin.
