Greeley, Colo. -- The City of Greeley will hold two public meetings on Tuesday, Nov. 19, to share details about the MERGE (Mobility Enhancements for Regional Growth and Equity) project. Meetings will take place at Greeley West High School, 2401 35th Avenue.

  • Local Businesses Meeting: 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.
  • Community Meeting 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.

City staff and project experts will share timelines, detail planned improvements and provide ways for continued community involvement. Attendees will have opportunities to ask questions and provide feedback.

“While these improvements will serve our community for decades, we need community input now and as the project progresses to better serve the needs of our residents.” said Bhooshan Karnik, Chief Engineer and Deputy Director of Public Works & Transportation. “MERGE is about safety, connectivity and mobility, and we want to be intentional about community feedback about the project goals before we even break ground.”

About MERGE

The MERGE project is designed to make travel safer and easier for everyone – drivers, pedestrians, and transit riders. This project supports a growing population and prepares the area for future travel needs.

Key project improvements include:

  • Grade separated interchanges at 35th and 47th Avenues to remove unsafe crossings, reduce congestion, and improve travel times.
  • A new regional mobility hub at Centerplace to link Greeley with communities across northern Colorado.
  • A shared-use underpass for pedestrians and cyclists to improve safety and neighborhood access.
  • Better local transit access and micro-transit options.
