Sculpture and Charcoal Art Exhibit to Start at Tointon Gallery on May 5

The Tointon Gallery’s exhibit, “Intersections: Drawings and Sculptures at the Crossroads of Art, Healing, and Ritual” by therapist Katie Croft, features sculptures and large-scale charcoal drawings.

The exhibit’s opening reception goes from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 5, at the gallery, 651 10th Avenue. Enjoy light refreshments and an opportunity to learn more about the art during the artist talk.

The exhibit runs from May 5-June 9. It’s free and open to the public during regular Greeley Recreation Center business hours. It’s also open during Union Colony Civic Center performances for ticket holders.

About the Exhibit

Inspired by her work as a therapist in Asheville, North Carolina, Croft’s new sculptures and drawings inform how and why we create, what materials mean, where spirituality fits within art, and why community and history matter as we seek to heal in the wake of the pandemic.  

About the Artist

Croft is a painter, ceramic sculptor, art therapist, and educator. Her current work focuses on the intersection of art and healing. She exhibits her work worldwide. See more of her work at www.katiecroftart.com.
