GreeleyCO.gov, a New Website Built for You

Welcome to the new City of Greeley website. We are currently in a soft launch and are continuing to improve the upgraded site. Thank you for your patience as we work through the final stages of development.

December 29, 2022

Greeley and Weld County residents can recycle their real, natural Christmas trees for free through Jan. 31 at the Greeley Organic Waste (GROW) Recycling Center.

At the GROW Recycling Center, staff grind the trees up and turn them into compost. The alternative is sending them to the landfill.

Residents need to remove all decorations, lights, wires, and similar materials before taking them to the GROW Center. The GROW Center is located at 1130 E 8th St., Greeley—1 mile east of U.S. 85 on East 8th Street.

Free Christmas tree recycling runs 10 a.m. through 4 p.m., Tuesday to Saturday, through Jan. 31.

Inclement weather may close the GROW Center. For more information about Christmas tree recycling, call 970-673-2042. For information on other recycling, opportunities go to www.greeleygov.com/services/recycling.
