47th Ave and 4th Street Intersection Partially Closes for Valve Replacement

The intersection of 47^th Avenue and 4^th Street will partially close Sept. 6 through 12 to install a new water valve.

The construction closure will limit eastbound traffic to one lane, and completely close the southbound portion of the intersection. Northbound and westbound traffic will not be impacted. Signage will direct drivers to detour along 59^th and 35^th avenues. Officials advise drivers to expect delays.

The valve, once installed, will allow the Water & Sewer Department to control the flow of water more effectively.

Officials thank community members for their patience and ask they drive safely and plan accordingly for this partial closure.
