22nd St between Highway 85 and 1st Ave Partially Closes for Sewer Main Replacement

Crews will close three traffic lanes on 22^nd Street between U.S. 85 and 1^st Avenue from Sept. 19 through 22 to replace a sewer main.

The construction will shift eastbound traffic north and close the sidewalk on the south side of 22^nd Street. Both the eastbound and westbound bus routes in the 100-block of 22^nd Street will temporarily relocate onto 18^th Street. Riders will be directed to use stops on 1^st Ave. Access to businesses will remain open.

This general construction is part of the city’s ongoing effort to do preventative repair of water and wastewater pipelines to keep the city’s infrastructure up to date. 

Officials advise drivers to expect delays and thank community members for their patience and ask they drive safely and plan accordingly for this partial closure.
