GreeleyCO.gov, a New Website Built for You

Welcome to the new City of Greeley website. We are currently in a soft launch and are continuing to improve the upgraded site. Thank you for your patience as we work through the final stages of development.

Plan, Prepare, and Stay Informed

Emergency readiness includes anticipating what services or resources will be unavailable in the event of extreme weather and disasters. Is there a family communication plan in place for when the power is out and/or the cellular network is unavailable? Are there easily accessible and well-stocked emergency kits in the house and all vehicles?

Knowledge is the Best Defense

Stay informed by registering your phone, cell phone, or email address for emergency alerts at weld911alert.com. You’ll be alerted anytime there is a major emergency in your area.

Emergency Planning and Disaster Supplies

Assemble a disaster supply kit before disaster strikes. Ready.gov has guides to help make a kit.

Evacuation

Keep fuel in a vehicle if evacuation seems likely. Gas stations may be closed during emergencies. Know when to evacuate and where to go.

You will need to listen to authorities on the timeline to evacuate, if they give you time to gather some of your belongings and pack them in your car. You should remember to pack up financial documents, prescriptions, family photos, and other items of personal value. Make sure you have someplace to take the family animals.

Shelter

Be sure everyone in your household knows where to find shelter from all hazards that affect your area.

Animals in Disaster

The Office of Emergency Management does its best to accommodate pets with their owners during an emergency. Pet owners should plan for their pets in an emergency plan, including supplies, food, portable kennels, etc.

Reducing Hazards

Take steps to ensure your home and household are safe from the potential effects of disasters like floods, tornadoes, high winds, and wildfires. These measures can be implemented before a disaster occurs.
