GreeleyCO.gov, a New Website Built for You

Welcome to the new City of Greeley website. We are currently in a soft launch and are continuing to improve the upgraded site. Thank you for your patience as we work through the final stages of development.

Convention and Visitors Fund

The Convention and Visitors Fund is funded by 3% lodging tax that hotel and motel guests pay. The funds from this tax are used to support and promote the convention and visitor activities throughout the city.

  • Lodging Tax Deposits: Lodging tax deposits is the total amount of lodging tax revenue deposited into the Conventions & Visitors Fund that year.
  • Visitorship Initiative Expenditures: Visitorship Initiative Expenditures are funds allocated by the city for programs and projects designed to increase tourism. These expenditures include marketing, staffing, sponsorships for visitor-related events, and activities that enhance the city's appeal and accessibility as a destination.
  • Visitor Convention Repayment Agreement: A Visitor Convention Repayment Agreement is a contract where funds used to develop a convention center are repaid over time through revenue or benefits generated from the facility. This ensures that the initial city investment is reimbursed as the center becomes financially productive.
