Indoor and Outdoor Assessments
Indoor assessments are available year-round, and irrigation assessments are scheduled mid-April through mid-October. The irrigation schedule fills up quickly, so sign up today.

Residential Water Assessments
Greeley Water is proud to offer free water assessments to all our customers, including homeowners! These assessments are designed to help you improve water efficiency and conserve this precious resource. Indoor assessments are available year-round, and irrigation assessments are available from mid-April through mid-October.

Assessment for Your Home
All homes could benefit from a water assessment. Homeowners, renters, landlords, and property managers are all encouraged to request free water assessments.
Our water conservation staff member will:
- Seek out leaks and other unintended uses of water
- Look for high-water-use appliances
- Provide new showerheads and faucet aerators
- Suggest repairs, rebates, or upgrades
Check Your Residential Irrigation System
Test your automatic sprinkling system to check performance and determine how efficient it is with a free water assessment. From these checks, we suggest ways to conserve water, lower water bills, and make your landscape healthier. According to past surveys, residential customers are 13% more efficient after an irrigation assessment. This very popular program runs from mid-April through mid-October. Each assessment includes:
- A visual inspection of each zone to identify problems
- Water application tests for distribution and uniformity
- A water pressure check
- A custom watering schedule derived from the tests performed
- Information about your lawn's seasonal water needs
Commercial Water Assessments
Free water assessments are available to all Greeley Water customers including businesses and organizations in the community. These assessments find areas of water waste and suggest specific ways to improve. Greeley's Water Conservation staff locate problem areas and help businesses make necessary improvements by offering technical supports and rebates. A recent survey shows commercial customers are 16% more efficient after and irrigation assessment.
Avoid Raw Water Surcharges
Some commercial and industrial customers receive an annual allotment of water based on tap size. When annual usage exceeds a user's allowance, they receive a raw water surcharge. Our water conservation program works with these customers to move them off the surcharge list. Since the program began, 43% of surcharge customers got off the list with help from Greeley's Water Conservation staff.
