2027 Calendar Photo Contest

Capture the moments that make Greeley special! The Greeley Culture, Parks and Recreation Department is seeking photos from community members for our 2027 Calendar. 

Whether it's a favorite park, a recreation program, a community event, scenic trail views, wildlife encounters, or family fun at one of our facilities, we want to see your best Parks and Recreation photos. 

Share your original photo on Facebook or Instagram and tag Greeley Recreation to be entered. Selected photos will be featured in our 2027 calendar and will help showcase the places, programs, and experiences that make our community thrive.

Photo Contest - Official Rules

Contest Period

Entries will be accepted from June 7 through August 1.

How to Enter

To enter:

• Post an original photo on Facebook or Instagram during the contest period.
• Tag Greeley Recreation in your post.
• Your account must be public when winners are selected, so your entry can be viewed.
• Alternatively, you may message us directly with the photo.

Photo Requirements

Photos should:

• Be taken within the City of Greeley's parks, trails, recreation facilities, open spaces, programs, events, or other Culture, Parks and Recreation locations or activities.
• Be your original work.
• Be of high enough resolution for calendar printing (original files may be requested if selected).
• Accurately represent the location or activity without excessive editing or AI-generated content.

Content Guidelines

Photos must not:

• Include offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate content.
• Infringe on another person's copyright or intellectual property.
• Include watermarks, logos, or promotional graphics.
• Depict unsafe, illegal, or prohibited activities.

People in Photos

Photographers are responsible for obtaining permission from recognizable individuals appearing in their photographs, especially when photographing minors.

Winner Selection

A panel of City of Greeley Culture, Parks, and Recreation staff will select photos based on:

• Overall quality
• Creativity and composition
• Representation of Greeley's parks, recreation, culture, and community
• Suitability for calendar publication

Selected photographers will be contacted through the social media account used to submit the entry.

Prize

Selected entries will be featured in the 2027 Greeley Culture, Parks and Recreation Calendar. No cash prize will be awarded unless otherwise stated. Winners will also receive a free copy of the printed calendar.

Rights Granted

By entering, participants grant the City of Greeley a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use submitted photographs for promotional, educational, and marketing purposes, including the annual calendar, print materials, websites, social media, and other City publications. Photographers retain ownership of their images.

General Conditions

• No purchase is necessary to enter.
• Multiple entries are permitted.
• The City reserves the right to disqualify entries that do not comply with these rules.
• The City reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the contest if necessary.
• This contest is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram.
