Closure of 7th Avenue and 10th Street Intersection Set for August 17

GREELEY, Colo. —  Construction is moving forward on Greeley’s Downtown Infrastructure Improvements Project. Crews are replacing old water and sewer lines. This will help lower flood risks, improve service, and support future growth.

The next phase begins Monday, August 17. Crews will close the intersection of 7th Avenue and 10th Street to install new underground water and sewer lines.

What to Expect

• The intersection of 7th Avenue and 10th Street will be fully closed.
• Drivers should follow detour signs on 6th Avenue and 8th Avenue.
• Some street parking near the intersection will close.  
• Businesses, sidewalks, and pedestrian access will stay open.
• The detour will change Greeley-Evans Transit Route 4. Riders should check for updated route schedules at GreeleyCO.gov/transit/.
• The city suggests drivers allow extra travel time. The city encourages residents and visitors to continue supporting downtown businesses during construction.
