Centennial Village Museum Celebrates 50 Years with Community Birthday Bash on Colorado Day
GREELEY, Colo. – Celebrate history, community, and Colorado pride at Centennial Village Museum's Centennial Celebration. The event takes place on Saturday, August 1, from noon to 6 p.m. at Centennial Village Museum, 1475 A Street, Greeley.
This special event commemorates Centennial Village Museum's 50th anniversary while also celebrating Colorado's 150th anniversary on Colorado Day. Join us for an afternoon of history, entertainment, and family-friendly activities as the museum marks this milestone with the community.
The celebration will feature food trucks, live music, hands-on crafts, and activities. A range of community partners will be on hand to help celebrate, including:
- The Davis Family Farm
- The Ginger Cat
- High Plains Library District
- Friends of the Greeley Museums
- High Plains Chautauqua
- The Northern Colorado Lace Guild
- City of Greeley Recreation
- City of Greeley Water and Sewer
Visitors will have opportunities to explore the village, share memories, and discover the stories that have shaped Greeley and Northern Colorado through the years.
Admission prices: Adults 18-59, $8; youth 7-17, $6; children 6 and under, free; seniors (60+), $6; Greeley Museums for All (SNAP/EBT/ETC), free; family (3-5 members), $20.
Centennial Village Museum
Centennial Village opened during the nation’s bicentennial in 1976. The museum preserves and interprets American western heritage in the Colorado high plains region. The village contains more than 35 historic buildings on eight acres, including some of Weld County’s oldest structures.

- Historic homes and farm buildings
- Rattlesnake Kate’s House
- A one-room schoolhouse
