GREELEY, Colo. — The City of Greeley’s Neighbor Labor program offers temporary help to eligible residents who need help with outdoor tasks. The program helps neighbors stay safe, care for their homes and support community standards in Greeley.

“Neighbor Labor reflects the spirit of Greeley: Neighbors looking out for one another," said Interim Community Development Director Don Threewitt. “When small chores become a barrier, the program helps residents stay safe at home while keeping neighborhoods cared for and connected.”

Neighbor Labor is available to residents who may have difficulty completing physical tasks. Residents may qualify due to age, disability, temporary injury or other qualifying circumstances. Help is generally focused on minor, short-duration tasks that support health and safety.

Examples of tasks may include:

  • Basic yard cleanup (branches, leaves, light debris)
  • Lawn trimming or weed removal
  • Snow removal
  • Other small indoor or outdoor maintenance needs, as capacity allows

The City encourages residents who may need Neighbor Labor to reach out early. Availability can vary by season and demand.

Request Help

  • Residents can apply for assistance through the City’s eTRAKiT portal. On the portal, select 'Permits' and 'Apply/New Permit.' Use Permit type Neighbor Labor. City staff will review each application to ensure it fits the program guidelines.
  • To request help by phone, call 970-350-9222.

A Reminder About Property Responsibilities

Whether you own or rent, it is your responsibility to maintain your property in accordance with municipal codes. Residents may still apply for Neighbor Labor if they have a code violation, and the program may be able to help with certain eligible tasks. However, the resident remains responsible for bringing the property into compliance.
