Greeley Evans Transit (GET) Routes 5 and 6 are Interlined for Better Service
Changes improve efficiency and reduce wait times
GREELEY, CO — Greeley Evans Transit (GET) recently combined Routes 5 and 6 into a single interlined route. Interlined bus routes involve a scheduling practice in which a single bus and driver operate two or more consecutive routes. This change improves service and reduces wait times for riders. The route combination is part of GET's Mobility Development Plan, which was approved by Greeley City Council in March 2025. The plan focuses on improving transit service across the city.
What Has Changed
Routes 5 and 6 will operate as one combined route. Four buses, instead of three, will run both routes, with stops at the Greeley Transit Center. This means:
- Buses will arrive every 20 minutes at the Regional Transit Center.
- Better connections to other GET routes at the Transit Center.
- Improved on-time performance.
In addition to the interlined routes, the Poudre Express recently added a new 2:05 departure from Greeley. That addition was a success, and the new departure route is now a permanent addition to GET’s schedule.
Why These Changes Matter
Combining these routes and adding a new Poudre Express departure time makes the transit system work better. Riders will spend less time waiting and have more reliable connections. GET operators helped plan these improvements based on their experience running the routes.
"These changes are designed to improve service for people who rely on public transportation," said Michelle Johnson, mobility manager for City of Greeley Transit Services. "We're making transit more efficient while maintaining coverage for the areas we serve."
More changes are planned for 2026 as part of the Mobility Development Plan to enhance mobility services across Greeley.
