Please join the Greeley Fire Department as we celebrate placing our newest apparatus into service with a traditional wet-down and push-in ceremony.
A Push-In Wet-Down ceremony is a long-standing fire service tradition that dates back to the days of horse-drawn apparatus, when firefighters would manually push engines back into the station after returning from a call and wash them down before housing them. Symbolizing pride, teamwork, and the official placement of a new apparatus into service.
An open house will be held at Station 1 from 3-4 p.m., offering the community a chance to see the new trucks up close, learn about the new apparatus and how they will serve the Greeley community.
