Closure Planned for 83rd Avenue Near West F Street

GREELEY, Colo. — Drivers who use 83rd Avenue, (Weld County Road 27) should prepare for a temporary road closure between 4th Street and O Street beginning the week of August 24.

The closure will allow crews to install a box culvert beneath 83rd Avenue. The project will increase drainage capacity and improve water flow during heavy spring snowmelt and runoff.

• Where: 83rd Avenue between 4th Street and O Street
• When: Anticipated to begin the week of August 24 and continue through September 4
• Impact: Full roadway closure through the construction area

Detour signs and message boards will notify drivers about the closure throughout the area.  

Motorists should allow for additional travel time, follow posted detour signs, and use alternate routes when possible.
